Humanitas Trust is committed to full accessibility across every dimension of our operations — physical, digital, and programmatic. Our mandate is population-wide. That commitment demands that every enrolled participant, regardless of ability, can access the programs that are built for them.
Enrollment in Humanitas Trust programs spans 8.9 billion participants across 180+ countries. Every one of them — regardless of mobility, sensory ability, cognitive profile, or communication need — is enrolled. Every one of them is owed the same standard of access to the programs that carry their continuity record.
Humanitas Trust has maintained a global accessibility standard across all 3,400+ Continuity Centers since the earliest years of our network. That standard has grown more rigorous with every center we have opened, every protocol we have updated, and every piece of feedback we have received from participants and accessibility advocacy partners.
What follows describes our current accessibility commitments — in our physical centers, on our digital platforms, and in how we respond when a participant needs more.
All Humanitas Trust Continuity Centers are built and operated to meet or exceed international accessibility standards. Physical accessibility is a non-negotiable requirement in our center design specifications and is independently verified as part of the GCI Operations Protocol 4.1 compliance audit cycle.
All center entrances, assessment rooms, waiting areas, and support facilities are fully wheelchair accessible. Step-free pathways, automatic doors, accessible restrooms, and assessment table height adjustment are standard features across the network. No participant should encounter a physical barrier between arrival and assessment.
Centers are equipped to serve participants with visual and auditory differences. Audio-induction hearing loops are installed in all assessment rooms and reception areas. Large-print materials are available on request. Wayfinding signage meets international tactile and visual contrast standards throughout all facilities.
The standard Comprehensive Continuity Assessment protocol can be adapted for participants who require additional time, modified positioning, communication support, or sensory accommodations during the Array sequence. Adaptation requests should be submitted to your center prior to your assessment date wherever possible.
For participants with conditions that make center attendance impractical, Humanitas Trust operates a mobile assessment program in all member territories. Mobile assessment teams are equipped with portable Array technology and can administer the full CCA protocol at a participant's place of residence. Contact your center to inquire about mobile assessment eligibility.
The Humanitas Trust website is designed and maintained to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We conduct accessibility reviews of our digital properties on a regular cycle and act promptly on findings that affect participant access.
Our digital accessibility commitments include: sufficient color contrast ratios across all page elements; keyboard navigability for all interactive components; descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images; clear and consistent heading structure for screen reader compatibility; and form inputs with accessible labels and error descriptions.
We recognize that accessibility is a continuous practice, not a certification to be achieved and set aside. We monitor our digital properties, respond to user-reported accessibility issues, and incorporate accessibility requirements into every design and development decision from the outset.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, we want to know about it. Please contact us using the details below. We aim to respond to all accessibility-related correspondence within five business days.
If you require an accommodation to participate in any Humanitas Trust program — whether at your center, on our digital platforms, or in your communication with our staff — please reach out. No accommodation request is too small, and no participant should forgo their assessment for want of support we can provide.
Every enrolled participant has a designated Continuity Center. Locate yours to confirm your current assessment status and center assignment.
